Sarupathar College observed World No Tobacco Day on 1 June 2026. The programme was organized by the Day Observation Cell and NSS Unit in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and the importance of leading a healthy, tobacco-free life. Mr. Agni B. Chetri, Assistant Professor, Sarupathar College, attended the programme as the Resource Person. In his address, he highlighted the health risks associated with tobacco use and encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyle choices.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the programme, making it a meaningful and informative observance. The event concluded with a pledge to spread awareness about the dangers of tobacco and to promote a tobacco-free society.
