One-Week Training Programme on Campus to Corporate
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sarupathar College, in collaboration with ICT Academy, Guwahati, successfully organized a One-Week Training Programme on Campus to Corporate from 18th August to 22nd August, 2025. The programme was designed to prepare students for professional challenges and enhance their employability skills.
The inaugural session was conducted under the coordination of Dr. Ridip Khanikar, IQAC Coordinator. The session was graced by Mr. Jayanta Borah, Vice Principal of Sarupathar College, and Mr. Nabajyoti Goswami, who extended their best wishes and highlighted the importance of such training for bridging the gap between academic learning and the professional world.
The resource person for the programme was Mr. Sunil Bora, who guided the participants through a series of interactive sessions spread over five days.
Day-wise Highlights
- Day 1 (18th August, 2025): Communication Skills
Mr. Bora emphasized the role of effective communication in professional success and engaged participants through practical exercises. - Day 2 (19th August, 2025): Interview Skills, Dress Code, Ethics, and Behaviour
The session focused on preparing students for interviews, professional etiquette, and appropriate corporate dressing. - Day 3 (20th August, 2025): Self-Assessment
Students were encouraged to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations through reflective exercises. - Day 4 (21st August, 2025): Time Management and Goal Setting
Practical strategies were shared to help participants prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and achieve them effectively. - Day 5 (22nd August, 2025): Resume Building, Video Resume, and Mock Interviews
The final day provided hands-on training in resume preparation, creating impactful video resumes, and participating in mock interview sessions.
Participation
The programme witnessed an enthusiastic response with around 100 participants, including students from various streams of Sarupathar College.
Outcome
The week-long programme significantly enhanced the students’ readiness for corporate life by improving their communication, interview performance, and professional behaviour. Participants expressed that the sessions boosted their confidence and provided them with practical skills for future careers.
The Campus to Corporate training programme proved to be highly beneficial in equipping students with the necessary soft skills and workplace competencies. The efforts of IQAC, Sarupathar College, in collaboration with ICT Academy, Guwahati, were well appreciated by all.
