The Department of Commerce successfully organized an educational trip to Umrangso Lake and Panimur on 11th March, 2026. The trip was conducted under the guidance and supervision of esteemed faculty members - Mr. Hemanta Gogoi, Miss Anjali Yadav and Miss Farhana Begum with the objective of providing students an opportunity to gain practical exposure, enhance their understanding beyond classroom learning, and foster team spirit.
The journey commenced early in the morning with great enthusiasm among the participants. Upon reaching Umrangso Lake, students were introduced to the geographical and economic significance of the region. The scenic beauty of the lake, surrounded by hills and lush greenery, offered an enriching learning environment. Faculty members highlighted the importance of such natural resources and their contribution to tourism and local economic development.
One of the most engaging aspects of the visit was the recreational activities organized at the lake. Students and faculty members actively participated in boat riding, which not only provided relaxation but also added an element of excitement to the trip. Subsequently, the group proceeded to Panimur, often regarded as one of the most picturesque locations in the region. The visit offered insights into the natural water systems and their potential for eco-tourism. Students were able to observe and appreciate the natural landscape while understanding its relevance in sustainable development.
The trip successfully blended education with recreation. The overall atmosphere was lively, and the event proved to be both informative and enjoyable -a perfect balance of learning, exploration, and entertainment.
