On 23rd September, 2026 Sarupathar College, Golaghat, Assam is delighted to announce a proud achievement of its Commerce students, Ms. Mahima Limbu (Lead Researcher) and Mr. Pritom Gogoi (Co-Researcher), of B.Com 7th Semester, who have been selected under the prestigious ICSSR Yuva Shodh Pratibha Scheme for undertaking a research project with financial support of ₹2,25,000 (Rupees Two Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand only).
The research project will be carried out under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Rizal, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Sarupathar College. This achievement marks an important milestone for the students and reflects the growing engagement of Commerce students in research and academic activities.
The selection provides Mahima and Pritom with an opportunity to undertake systematic research, develop practical research skills, and contribute to academic knowledge. Their achievement also demonstrates that undergraduate Commerce students can successfully participate in and secure opportunities under national-level research initiatives.
The college encourages its students, particularly those pursuing Commerce, to develop a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, research and innovation, and to actively explore research projects, fellowships, competitions, internships and other academic opportunities available to them.
